Labour came second. I think

I’m prepared to be wrong on this one, but I’m pretty sure Labour actually won more votes than the LibDems last night. The figures being quoted all over the media are taken from analysis of only those seats where all three main parties stood candidates. But there are lots of seats where the Liberals didn’t stand, and those areas wouldn’t have been counted for the purposes of calculating the national share. At least, that’s what happened four years ago, presenting a seriously misleading picture.
