Hampden roar

We’ve lived next door to Hampden – Scotland’s national stadium – for more than six years. We’ve experienced Scottish Cup finals, Bon Jovi concerts (one of which almost stopped me driving Carolyn to hospital when she was in labour – long story) and weekly Claymores (American football team, no longer with us) matches. But of all the noises we’ve heard emanating from the stadium, none of them was louder than this morning’s. Because The X-Factor auditions have come to Glasgow.

Interesting that Simon Cowell can get a bigger cheer from a Scottish crowd than any football team.
