Reflecting on yesterday’s events, what does it say about today’s Conservative Party that its two most high profile members can only attain that profile by leaving the House of Commons?

  2. Yes, have to agree with Anon, I would say if Jack Straw was to suddenly (and inexplicably) leave the Labour party then he would be the most high profile member of the party, albeit for a fleeting few days.

    I am sure the David Davis debacle will be reported as remarkably ordinary within a few days such is the ADHD-nature of the press these days.

    I’m still taking in the drama while it lasts though of course…
