The Excellent Factor

CAROLYN and I have just enjoyed two consecutive nights of X-Factor drama. We’ve come to the welcome conclusion that this year’s field is much stronger than last year’s.

But now that we have only two episodes left before the start of the live finals, I can relive one of my favourite moments of the series – and it happens to have come from the Glasgow auditions. One old guy turned up with a set of spoons, and when he was asked why by the panel, he replied: “I thought I was auditioning for Britain’s Got Talent!”

Undaunted, he persevered with his audition anyway. Excellent.

  1. Tom,

You need to get out more….

  2. Paul

Who do you think is going to win, Tom? If i was a betting man, i would be putting my money on little Eoghan.

  3. Hmm, possibly. But I was never in favour of lowering the age to 14 in the first place. It’s too early to say – I’d like to see a group win at some point, and JLS are as best placed as anyone. Ruth, maybe? And what’s the name of the blonde girl who did the amazing version of “Hallelujah”? She must be a contender.
