Greatest Christmas hits of the last 2000 years: No. 20

Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree – Brenda Lee

WHAT explanation is needed here? Fifties rock ‘n’ roll smothered in tinsel. Pure class.

As opposed to… the dreadful version recorded by “Mel and Kim”, aka Mel Smith and Kim Wilde (geddit?) and still, regrettably, featured on some Christmas music anthologies. Really, really unfunny and awful. Just awful…

Anyway, Brenda Lee is fab, so listen to this.

    Yuk – really horrible.
Brenda Lee? You’d have done better with Jerry Lee (Lewis)
