Greatest Christmas hits of the last 2000 years: No. 14

Christmas Wrapping – The Waitresses

THIS is Carolyn’s second favourite Christmas song (we share our all-time No. 1) and that’s about the only reason it’s included here. It’s alright, I suppose; the only other Waitresses song I’m familiar with is the theme tune to the 1982 American high school sitcom, Square Pegs.

Well done, a great song and a fine contoversy over if it actually was Debbie Harry on vocals (it wasn’t). The Kermit choice was good too but the rest pretty predictable and de Burg totally unacceptable. Still, never judge a man on his politics, religion or choice of music, there must be flotsam in life.

if this song is only on your list because I like it, then why is it only at no.14?

I must admit it passed me by unawares whenever it came out.

    Nice bouncing song though.
